Scott and Kathleen
The winter coat worn by the actor playing Robert Falcon Scott was inspired by research on what the members of the Scott expedition wore on their trek to the South Pole. While the Norwegian team they were racing wore furs, the Scott expedition relied on wool.
The outer layer of Kathleen's gown is made of silk chiffon, and is hand beaded.

Kathleen 2
Kathleen's costume (and the corset under it) was patterned and constructed by one of my students. The shirtwaist was copied from an extant garment in the historical clothing collection at Tarleton State University.
